What we do with your data.
This policy covers the website and the quote form. It is written to be read rather than to satisfy a checkbox.
Who is responsible
The controller is Velbit Trejd DOOEL, st. Prashka 21, 1000 Skopje, North Macedonia. Company details are on the imprint page.

What the quote form collects
Required: your work email address and the delivery country. Without these we cannot send you a quote or price the freight.
Optional: name, company, phone number, VAT number, target price, how you heard about us, and any notes you write.
Technical data about your project: quantities, board and assembly parameters, and the files you upload — Gerbers, bill of materials, pick-and-place data and drawings.
We do not ask for and do not want payment details, personal identification documents or any special-category personal data through this form.
Why we process it, and on what basis
To prepare and send your quote, and to carry out the order if you accept it — that is processing necessary for pre-contractual steps and for the contract itself.
To keep a record of quotes and orders for accounting and warranty purposes — a legal obligation and our legitimate interest.
To improve the quote process, using aggregate counts of how far people get through the form. This is first-party and contains no personal data beyond what you submitted.
We do not sell data, do not share it with advertisers and do not use it to profile you.
Your design files
Design files are used only to quote and build your boards. They are never shared outside Velbit, never published, and never used for anything other than your project.
If you would like an NDA before we open them, tick the box on the form and we will send one before reviewing.
Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage and the quote record in a Cloudflare D1 database. They are deleted together when the quote record reaches the end of its retention period. If you want them gone sooner, email contact@velbit.com and we will delete them and confirm.
Who else handles your data
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores your data: uploaded files in R2 object storage, the quote record in a D1 database, and cookieless traffic counts in Web Analytics. Resend delivers the two emails a quote request produces — the notification to us and the confirmation to you — and so receives your email address and the summary of your request.
Both handle it under their standard data processing terms.
Retention
How long we keep things

Cookies and analytics
The site sets one functional cookie, `velbit_currency`, which remembers whether you want prices in euros or dollars. It contains nothing else and expires after a year.
The quote form uses your browser's local storage to save an unfinished request so you do not lose it if you close the tab. That data stays on your device until you submit or clear it.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites. There are no advertising trackers, no Google Analytics and no social media pixels — which is why you do not see a cookie banner.
If you apply for a job
The jobs page asks you to email us a CV. We use it only to consider your application, and never share it outside Velbit.
If we do not hire you we keep your application for a while in case something suitable comes up, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to contact@velbit.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU and believe we have handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Your data is processed in North Macedonia and on Cloudflare's network.
